Latest News:

Update: 16/01/2011

All Direct QSL's received up to 15/01/11 have been processed and will be posted on 17/01/11.  The first batch of cards received via the Bureau system will be despatched in February 2011.  Now that we are up to date QSLing will be on a day by day basis with minimal delays.

Update: 10/01/2011

QSL cards have finally arrived!  QSLing will commence immediately.  We will try to clear the backlog as soon as possible.  Again our apologies for the delay.

Update: 08/12/2010

QSL cards have been delayed by postal issues.  We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.  Our apologies for the delay.

Update: 13/10/2010

Log has been uploaded to Logbook of the World

Update: 06/10/2010

QSL cards have been ordered from the printers and are expected by the end of the month.

Logbook of the World paperwork has been submitted so hopefully we will be able to upload the logs there soon.  Thanks for you patience.

Update: 09/09/2010

More photos uploaded today to the Gallery.  The QSL card is being designed now (with photos from the trip) and we hope to have the order in soon for the printing.  Please be patient. The logs will be uploaded to LotW in a few weeks as we are trying to clear up as many "busted" call queries as we can before submitting them online.  Thanks again to our most recent supporters.

Update: 02/09/2010

QRT as of 0000 today!  The YJ0VK team finished operations today (2/9/2010) at exactly 0000 UTC after almost six days on air.  3946 QSO's in the log from 69 countries, which considering the very poor propagation, we are very happy with.  A big thankyou to all the patient DXers out there who worked us.  We wish the conditions were kinder, especially into EU, but it was not to be.  We did our best.  73 to all - see you next time!

Update: 21/8/2010

The YJ0VK team is fully prepared now.  We fly out of the eastern seaboard of VK on Thursday 26th August.  We expect to be operational on 20mtrs by 00:00utc on 27th August.  Other bands will come on-line through the day.  Our vertical antennas are constructed and tested and by all accounts are working very well.

We will be placing a special focus on the WARC bands, so pls QRV for us on the following frequencies:

YJ0VK Suggested Operating Frequencies
CW SSB
1.821 1.860
3.511 3.611/3.791
7.021 7.178
10.107
14.011 14.255
18.077 18.118
21.011 21.278
24.897 24.935
28.011 28.478

* All frequencies are suggested and subject to band usage at the time
* We will work split up 1-3khz on CW/Digital and up 5khz on SSB where possible
* RTTY/PSK31 will be on traditional frequencies split up 1-3 khz where possible

We have a limited station for 160mtrs but we’ll certainly have it operational each day at our sunrise and sunset.

We welcome all QSLs; please send them to the address on our web site or via the buro – the team hopes to achieve DXCC during these six days.

73, and we hope to hear you on the bands
