VK9NTDXpedition to Norfolk Island 2015
A team of 4 amateur radio operators from Australia will this time be activating Norfolk Island, OC-005, from the 24th of April through till the 4th May.

Goals
Our goals are to:
* To work as many stations as possible
* Have some fun and enjoy a bit of a break on a
beautiful Pacific Island!
We plan to operate 2 stations as often as
possible.

All normal costs for this dxpedition are being funded by the operators themselves but any assistance towards the extra costs associated with the SOTA activation (approx $1000) will be greatfully accepted.

Originally colonised by East Polynesians, Norfolk Island was colonised by Britain as part of its settlement in Australia in 1788. It then served as a convict penal settlement until 1794, when it was abandoned until 1856, when permanent residence on the island for civilians began and it was settled from Pitcairn. In 1901, the island became a part of the Commonwealth of Australia which it has remained until this day.
